Hi everybody, Just got diagnosed with arthritic Lyme on July 9th due to a swollen knee. Western blot showed 2 bands positive IGM, IGG negative. Doctor told me it was an early infection although from what I'm reading it feels like I'm in a later stage. Am I correct? I'm currently working with a rhumatoid/infectious disease doctor as well as a naturopath and going for acupuncture. Went for MRI, eeg (sharp spike like waves - abnormal) plus I'm seeing bright lights when my eyes are closed. Eye doctor said their was no swelling in eye. Big question - I'm concerned the lyme may have crossed the border. How do you find out for sure? Do you know of any excellent Lyme doctors in Ct./or need be ny who also specialize in chinese medicine. It seems a lot of people on antibiotics never really eradicate the disease if they've had it for a while. I'd love to hear of some success stories for later stage lyme and how they did it thank you for sharing - this certainly is a journey. I appreciate any advice you can share with me.

thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately I'm beginning to understand how difficult a disease this is- both emotionally and physically. I also just learned that I have bartonella included in the mix. I will keep you posted with my treatments and progress. You are all very kind.
