I am getting ready to make my appointment and he is at the top of my list of choices. I live in the west so it would be a long haul but he seems like the best choice for me so far. Have you been helped by him?

If you have any recommendations for CA or WA that are top LLMD's I might want to consider, please pm me. I already know about Dr. K in WA. Since I have to travel long distance it does not matter too much where I go as long as it is the best choice - but there are some direct flights that are less hours traveling - like San francisco, LA, las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle and Denver. Some of the those flights are very cheap so I could afford to go more often.

Thanks

Personally this is the doc I would take hubby to if we had the money to travel.

*** edited to remove link with name of LLMD ** Please PM Bea for the link .... ( Lymetoo )

We prefer using both herbs and meds and not the highest possible doses of multiple IV meds.

Have not seen either of these docs. Just my personal opinion.

I was considering Dr. K six. In fact that is why it has taken me so long to make a decision - just not sure which direction to try. But I think I am sticking with the abx for a while longer and Dr. J seems to be a little in between as he pulses abx to allow your body's immune system to get into action.

I called this morning and am on the waiting list with the possibility of November getting an appointment with him.

Dr H does look like a really good choice for a west coast doctor. Thanks Selbert. I am going to check more into him as he is a lot closer.

You may want to phone and see how long it will take to get an appt.

California has some good LLMDS, like Dr H, why not contact some of the CA support groups?

It is so confusing. I feel like I am bouncing myself around trying to make a decision. I will contact the CA support groups to see what they say. The trip would sure be a lot easier, faster and cheaper. I was just thinking the best doctors are in the east.

In Under Our Skin, someone in CA traveled to NY for treatment with Dr B while someone from the east traveled to Seattle for treatment with Dr. K.

I traveled to Seattle and was not happy with the LLMD i saw there. Then I traveled to see a LLND that was new and did not really know what she was doing, refusing to treat my bart. I don't want to make the same mistake thrice so I want to be sure the person I see is highly regarded and brings patients into remission. I want that person to have a long range plan and not leave me floundering when/if the drugs are not working for me or I am having a problem with side effects.

Nefferdun,

Maybe you already know this, but a member on the roadback board says there is a Lyme doctor in Missoula. Maybe that is near you?
