I am originally from wisconsin and was diagnosed with lyme around 7 years ago when i lived there.

I was on doxycycline for 6 weeks, but was young and not exactly the best when taking it (once my symptoms felt better, i continued taking it but not in a timely manner).

I now have persistent pain in my knees, hips, back and neck, and am curious as to whether it is because of my foolish taking of that medication...I do not think i am "cured".

I now seek the help of others in finding a doctor that I can trust to tell me that my problems are still from lyme, or that it is someone else.

Around a year ago i went in for a physical and told the doctor that i had been diagnosed with lyme some time ago and he said to me that the disease usually takes care of itself. i couldn't believe it.

Please help, sick of dealing with chronic pain

thank you

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
