Hi, I am being treated for acute lymes with doxcyline for one month, 100 x twice a day. I am concerned that this is not enough. I did not know of a tick bite or rash, but had a scheduled drs. appt coming up and had regular bloodwork showing a high sed rate. Regular dr. asked if I was having any symptoms. Told him I had passed out at a store recently and feel alot like I am having the flu without the fever, also extreme fatigue. He said he was testing me for autoimmune and lymes. Test, bloodwork, came back positive. If he doesn't want to extend my antibiotics, or increase the dose I am thinking of consulting a lymes doctor. I appreciate my dr. finding this, but I want to be more aggressive with my treatment. As of now, I only have some neck pain and a few shooting pains in knees or elbows, but not like before. I did have herx after the first week and now, the forth week. Thanks for your help.
