Hi! I am also seeking a Lyme disease specialist in the Kansas City area. My mother has what we all think is Lyme disease. She remembers the tick bite last May, and had the bulls eye around it. She came down with symptoms 3 weeks ago, and has progressively gotten worse. She has pain all over her body, every joint, and a raw red blister like rash over her hands and face, swollen lymph nodes, etc. She lives in the Blue Springs/Grain Valley area and they have a large deer population around them, so there are deer ticks in her yard. If you find a specialist that you like, please let me know. I'm looking for one myself to refer her to. Her bloodwork has not come back yet for the Lyme disease test, but we feel confident that she has it. The ER doctor put her on Doxycycline, 100 mg. twice daily.

I am also seeking a Lyme disease specialist. I am in Lee's Summit, but anywhere near Kansas City would be great. If anyone has any information on a doctor I would greatly appreciate it.

I am seeing the most famous of LLMD's in Kansas Cityk but after being on Ceftin for nearly a year, no results at all and he still wants me to stay on it.
My dd was on Ceftin but had to change to Azithromycin about 2-3 months ago, but neither one has given her any relief. She has continued to get worse, even from where she was before we started seeing him.
Can anyone PM me with the name of the other LLMD in Kansas City? I'd sure like another opinion.
