I am looking for the best late stage (chronic) Lyme Doctor(s) in North America. Although currently living in Europe, I seem to have exhausted the best care here, and am willing to travel anywhere for treatment!!
I am 33 years old. Was infected with Lyme disease in 1986 or before, but was only diagnosed in 2007, after having become completely disabled five years before.
I have been treated on and off with antibiotics, but my immune system is compromised (seronegative) and all protocols we have tried so far have failed - only slight improvements in certain areas (eg. heart).
Still have severe CFS, neuropathy, mental and cognitve problems.
Please help: I am desperate to get my life back. To quote someone else "I am looking for a doc who has a good record of helping hopeless cases like me"!
Doctors who are also willing to communicate via email or phone are obviously preferred, as that would minimize the time spent away from home.
