Hi all,

I think that I got lyme from camping in north Florida. My symptoms are: eye pressure/pain, multiple rashes in groin area, joint pain, fatigue, facial muscles sometimes spasm. Im 21 years old and there shouldn't be any reason for these symptoms. I have no insurance but regardless I need a good Doc in Tampa, Fl. Thanks for your help.

Alex

Alex, please send me a private message if you find a doctor in Tampa. I am north of there about an hour and a half. There is none in my area. I am looking for a doc as well. This site actually has a link to where you can find a doctor in your area. Unfortunately, I don't think there are very many in Florida. If you have just recently gotten Lyme's, I suggest you get it treated as soon as you possibly can. Mine was undiagnosed for over a year and I wish I could have found out sooner. I am new to this site, just joined today actually...so I am sure that there are many others who will be more help to you, I am in search mode myself. Good luck.

Alex...get yourself on some ABX asap...if you don't get an LLMD rec

just see your regular doc and get tested and treated...the sooner

you catch it the better off you'll be...many LLMD's do not accept

insurance...just tell your doc you are willing to pay your fair share ,

which is what they would receive from insurance companies...that

is about 30 % of the bill...most docs will be willing to work with

you...labs also...be firm and take your biz elsewhere if they won't

show you any compassion...with labs you usaully have to

negotiate up front before service otherwise you may not get any

breaks...I have been doing this for many years...good luck...wish

I could help you with a rec...you may need to travel North a bit

to find an LLMD but see any doc in the meantime and get

yourself on some Doxycycline...I am not advocating or telling

you what to do...I am not dispensing medical advice here...only

sharing my thoughts...
