I am in desperate need of an LLMD in NYC. I had an 'equivicol' ELISA test, but tested positive on bands 23 and 41 for IGM western blot, but IGG is negative (only band 41 was reactive). I've heard that these tests arent very reliable, and am hesitant to be pumped full of antibiotics when I seem to have a Candida issue as well. I thought I had a Candida problem and began the Candida Diet on Feb1 2011. There were some improvments but not as many as I would haev expected. I am 22 years old, and trying to begin life after college which is stressfull enough. My symptoms include (in the order that they occurred) recurrent headache, travelling muscle pain (mostly behind the knees), TERRIBLE depression, anxiety upon waking, intermittent racing heart, acid reflux (made better with probiotics), pain on the bone beside my right eye, ear ringing, whooshing in my left ear when head is in certain position, ear fullness, insane head pressure, dizziness upon standing, waking in the middle of the night with numb pinkies, super hot face with cold hands, uncontrollable crying, yeast infections, tingling in the feet, jaw pain. All symptoms come and go. I have gone to too many physicals and doctors keep ignoring my lyme tests. Any nyc doctor who can deal with lyme AND candida? please help. Ive been dealing with these symptoms for 6 months. No rash or tick bites that I remember. I live in a city and am almost never in nature. any info would be great. Please help. the symptoms above the neck are the worst. I have NEVER been a depressed person and my family is extremely worried about me. Doctors, anyone? Please?
