I live in SE CT and have had multiple symptoms over the last two to three years.
I have found tics on me after hiking or biking but have never had a bite or rash that I knew of.
I have seen several Dr.s and have been tested for MS, had a spinal fusion, sent to a shrink, put on high blood pressure meds...on and on....... WHAT'S UP??
Most of my symptoms come and go, varying in length and severity from time to time.
In no particular order:
Loss of balance Stange smells "vertigo" x 3 (taken to ER, I thought I was having a stroke) persistent twitch down left side of face - sometimes keeps me up at night, sometimes not detectable at all sensitivity to light sometimes memory problems thinking problems chronic chough shortness of breath when talking word recollection problems wake up with a pounding heart like I ran a marathon weight gain from inactivity TIRED ALL THE TIME sore neck most of the time, cracks a lot right knee sore sometimes my hands and feet hurt for no reason, especially my thumbs !?! HOT for a few minutes and then COLD for a few minutes Sleep very poorly vision issues, never had glasses before now I've had two Rx's sound sensitivity, ringing and like an electrical buzz in my ears
That's all I can think of off hand, I was keeping a diary but quit when I felt the Dr's weren't taking me seriously.
I don't want to be diagnosed and/or treated for something I don't have and don't want to go Dr. shopping. I just want to feel better and function again.
Is there someone in Southeastern CT that can help me?

Hi Jane:
Your symptoms sound just like some my daugther was experiencing when we started this adventure over 2 years ago.
I sent you a PM with CT LLMD's.
It's amazing there is a controversy to this insidious disease and I've found it easiest to show a couple of u tube video's on the controversy.
He is a saint and I show this to help illustrate how MD's have been prosecuted so normal MD's shy away from doing anything but following the flawed IDSA guidelines.
Also here is a post by another LLMD where he mentions a patient taking supplements and herbs (which many LLMD's don't address but many have found to be helpful).
