Hi,

I was diagnosed with Chronic lyme, bartonella and babesia 3 years ago and have been treated by my current doc with herbs and argentyn IVs(she is an ND who claims to be a specialist in lyme), but I am unfortunately not improving and my latest CD57 just came back at 1.0. I am really scared as I am also currently 12.5 weeks pregnant with my first child, and while my pregnancy is progressing well at this point and baby is strong and healthy, I want to be sure that I am able to get well to be able to support the pregnancy through the whole term and not pass on anything to my little one. I think it is best to seen a new doctor as I feel like I am running around in circles with my current one.

Found this on another post.

Back to the original question..Dr. J's protocol is good at preventing transmission during pregancy. He states you need to be on 2 antibiotics and if you are for the entire pregancy there is almost zero chance of transmission.

The drugs of choice are Zithromax and Omnicef

or

Zithromax and Amoxicillin or Bicillin

Things are never dull. After 3 fighting Lyme, 2 are in remission. Youngest is still sick, age 22. He has new diagnosed Chiari Malformation and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
