hi, i have been dealing with several different symptoms since last June.
it started after being on vacation at the nj beach with facial pain on the left side, near my ear, cheek and jaw.
went to dr several times thinking ear infection. was not.
waited thru summer but now was affecting me almost everyday, severe pain. was referred to a neurologist.
got tests done revealing 3 white spots on brain and positive ana. negative lyme.
starting having more symptoms in dec. tingling scalp, shakes/tremors, numbness in fingers/hands/feet. went to ER in Feb. stuttering speech lasted 3 - 4 hours and couldn't feel legs.
severe fatique! constantly sleeping, which doesn't work since i am a mom of 3 boys!
got a 2nd opinion, more tests (thinking MS). spinal tap (negative for ms).
left facial pain almost daily still, it is now may 4th. symptoms come and go but fatigue ALWAYS there. walking/yoga helps!
looking for a dr. that can help in pennsylvania or somewhere close. thanks!

Sounds like neurological Lyme to me. And a negative Elisa doesn't mean a thing. You may want to consider a spinal tap (where Lyme likes to grow once you've had it for a while), but you definitely need an LLMD.

BTW, Lyme only replicates every 28 days or so ... this is when people are likely to have exacerbated symptoms. You may want to start keeping a calendar log of your "worst days."
This replication period is also the time when the bacteria is more vulnerable to antibiotics - which is why "long term" abx are far more effective than the standard 2-3 weeks of doxycycline.
