Without going into a long detail of history, I have been experiencing a wide range of symptoms for about two and a half years, constant and progressive over the last two years now. I have been to numerous doctors and specialist who have all run their tests and come up with no obvious results. I have had one specialist in the very beginning of this starting who believed my symptoms were related to anxiety and the last specialist I saw diagnosed me with fibromyalgia once my test results came back with no results. Neither of these specialists' diagnosis are ones I feel confident in the least bit subscribing to or settling for. Based on my long list of symptoms and my research, I feel that I possibly have a late stage case of lyme disease. My primary doctor has been of no help other than to refer me to a multitude of different specialists, one of whom was an infectious disease specialist who I asked to be referred to after I saw an alternative medicine professional who believed I have lyme. The infectious disease specialist laughed and scoffed when I told her the alternative medicine doctor believed I had lyme and did not run any of her own tests. I am in search of a lyme literate specialist in the Bucks or Montgomery County area who will listen to me and run the appropriate tests to determine whether or not I am and have been suffering from lyme. Any reccommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You could try your online state group. To find yours, go to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme and follow the directions. Or just type in your statename instead of statename in the URL above. E.g. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/northcarolinalyme

The fibromyalgia I've had for 32 years was an undiagnosed Lyme symptom.
