I am currently studying medicine in Antigua. I have lost the ability to walk due to muscle weakness and excruciating pain throughout my body. Doctors have not found the cause. I am originally Canadian therefore I am not familiar with the US Health Care system or which state is best to go to for seeking a diagnosis. A lime Specialist from a state that gives me easiest route coming from Antigua would be preferred. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Abida

These Lyme organizations give Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD) referrals:
www.ILADS.org
www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Maybe they can help you.

If you would need to return to Canada because of your health, then check out the Canadian Lyme website www.canlyme.com and click on "Get Support" in the upper left-hand side of the page.

You could find a support group in Canada which would provide you with more information and help.

Btw - I have read there are no Lyme doctors in Canada, so Canadians are coming to the US for help.
