I came across the name of a female Dr. B in GA (she helped a woman get well) while reading a story here:

http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/19983166/woman-suffering-lyme-disease-goes-undiagnosed-for-years

or http://goo.gl/t8eov

The name of this doctor was not written in the story, but in one of the comments left after it.

Does anyone know this doctor or have you been treated by her? Is she Lyme-literate?

I was told there are no LLMDs in GA, but I sure would like to find one or more to forward to those looking for one there.

I don't know. I've never heard of any LLMDs in GA that knew anything.

Read the story more carefully. She went to a FL doc.

poppy - Actually, I was referring to the comment posted right after the story by a person who went to Dr. B and got well (see the sentence written in my original post after the link).

I was DXed by a Dr B in Atlanta - a nice lady . Then I moved out of state . She was kind but had little experience with treating lyme patients . She also told me she thought a cure was unlikely with the disease if one is ill a long time. I believe that .

It seems there are few believers in lyme in the south and few who want to deal with it .

It seems people in northern or coastal states get more help , but I am still skeptical about cures unless caught early .

Thanks, annxyzz - I really appreciate the information.

I won't forward this doctor's name to people, since she is not Lyme-literate.
