Hello, I am seeking some help in finding a LLDR in the Atlanta, or Cumming, GA area. I have been to Emory and Mayo with strange symptoms but every test has been normal so the doctors have no idea what is wrong with me. Some of my symptoms fall within the Lyme disease realm and I wold like to see a doctor with a strong understanding of Lyme disease.

Thank You

The consensus on Lymenet is "HOLD THE MAYO"!!! They have no Lyme-literate doctors on board and don't take Lyme seriously (as do most major university/hospital institutions!

Please read this lengthy post and learn from other peoples' experiences at Mayo and elsewhere:
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/123471?#000000

There are no Lyme-literate doctors in Georgia, from what I've been told. You need to go where they are (far and few between, unfortunately!).

Check the onine state Lyme grous at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Georgialyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:
www.lyme-aware.org
www.ilads.org
www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Once you have some names, write a new post in "Seeking a Doctor" to ask for personal references. This way, you will find the right doctor to give you the correct treatment.

Mayo is so lame these days. They have a reputation that is way above the reality.

Except here.. we know they are useless.

You will need to travel to find a good LLMD. I'll PM you.
