I was diagnosed in 2004 with L/D. I am 40 now. I took 21 days of amoxycillian, ( forgive my spelling).I had a reaction to doxycyclian. I still spike occasional fevers with a lympnode swelling in my groin area.(2 to 3 times per year) When the fevers returned after the treatment, 18 to 24 months after. I was retested, but came back neg. I have been to urologist (cleared), sent to infectious disease specialist, retested again and numerous more blood test. (all cleared). Most of all test were taken within 3 days after spiking a fever. I also have had 3 CT scans since 2006. Then I was sent to a hematologist, Had more test done, also just recently had the lympnode remove and biopsied, The first pathologist said there was a %90 chance I had cancer. (THAT SET REALLY WELL), but he wasn't sure, sent it to Duke, where they said (5 days later) it looked "reactive", in other words doing its job. NOT cancer. So that puts me back at square one. Lyme disease. I need some sort of direction on finding a DR open to Chronic lyme , or at least one that has some experience in this. From what i have read alot of test still come back negative, and you can still have it, especially if its been long term. I still have some of the symptoms, especially joint pain, neck stiffness, and lower back pain. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Please break up your posts to two to three sentences. Many with neuro Lyme can not read a block of print.

PM sent for NC & VA.

Please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
