From my research, I know that finding a Lyme Literate Doctor is crucial. We live in Harford County MD. Nearest cities are Bel Air, Towson, Lutehrville, Baltimore and surrounding areas. My husband recently had a heart incident (they said heart attack), Cardiologist could find no evidence of any damage. Later discovered two red swollen lesions with bite marks. He is on 100mg Doxycycline twice per day. He weight 200lbs. I hear this is insufficient for his body mass. I doubt his primary care doctor will prescribe anything higher. Please help. Thank you all so very much.

PM sent for MD.

He needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease and its complex treatment!

Lyme disease can cause Lyme Carditis, as the bacteria like connective tissue.

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
