I am newly diagnosed and just under a month out from the date of infection. A doctor put me on 21 days of doxycycline, 100 mg twice a day. Based on my research, I am concerned this is not high enough dosage to be effective at this stage and so I am seeking a more literate doctor.

Sadly, I am uninsured and concerned about the cost but would rather seek aggressive treatment early. I am based in Brooklyn, NY but am currently in Washington State as I cannot walk because of swollen knees and my mom is taking care of me. I am desperate and so scared. Please help with recommendations.

I am overwhelmed and grateful for any help.
