Hi , i'm new here and need some help. Have had vague symptoms for years, back pain, knee pain, fatigue, heat intolerance, bilateral achilles tendonitis, lateral epicondolytis, weird skin blisters that just appear overnight in different places, intermittent numbness and tingling in hands, sometimes headaches with some light sensitivity in one eye and anxiety. All these symptoms tend to worsen and decrease in severity - good days, bad days, also hypothyroid. Dont recall being bitten by tick recently but am a big camper (especially on the Cape), gardener and in the past a hiker ( difficult now with knees and heel issues). I did have a tick bite in Europe about 30 yrs ago, not sure if that is significant. CDC neg, Igenex positive on IgG and IgM, advanced culture neg to date - not sure how good this culture is? Anyone know a good doc in Boston area?

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MA.

Your symptoms sound like Lyme and Cape Cod is endemic for Lyme. You can test negative for Lyme and still have it. 'IgM' means you have a current infection.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a LLMD (Lyme-literate doctor). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease and its complex treatment!

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

Please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
