Regarding Igenex testing, see their website: igenex.com
You can call them and order a test kit. Then, you need to get a doctor to sign the order for the tests. You can pick what tests you want done. You have to pay in advance.
The test results will go to the doctor who signed the order, not to you.
I suggest you let a lyme doctor order the tests for you because if all is not done correctly, you will get a negative test even if you have lyme disease. For example, the blood should be drawn on Mon, Tues, or Wed and then immediately shipped out per Igenex's instructions. If the blood lays around in the office or in a post office, etc, you will get a negative test due to that and you have wasted your money.
A lyme doctor's staff knows exactly how to do it and it will be done properly. A regular doctor's staff will not know what to do or the importance of following the rules. So, you are taking a chance if you do it that way.
Also, a lyme doctor will order a panel of coinfection tests also. When I had that done, you got a free lyme test with it. So, rather than you trying to pick the right tests, let a specialist do it.
If you are positive for any of the coinfections, that is evidence that you also have lyme disease since it is rare to have a lyme coinfection and not have lyme also.
If you have not yet done so, I suggest you read and study the Burrascano Lyme Treatment Guidelines found here:
The southeast just doesn't have many good lyme doctors. There are very few in Florida also.
