A friend was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease a few years ago. They recently got a positive Lyme test. I am looking for a LLMD in the New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut area that has experience and the knowledge to treat someone with these severe symptoms.
Thank you!!! Heather

Lyme is called the "Great Imitator", as it mimics diseases like ALS, arthritis, MS, etc. Since the test for Lyme is positive, your friend needs a comprehensive evaluation by a LLMD followed by complex treatment.
The top LLMD, Dr. H, just wrote a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is full of excellent information.
Also have your friend read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check the local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Thank you both for the information. I will pass the info to my friend.
Is there anyone that had ALS that is being treated by a LLMD in the northeast? I would be interested in what type of treatment was given so my friend knows what to expect.
Thanks!

Also, has anyone heard of Dr. F in a New York hospital? My friend was given her name as a Lyme disease specialist. Does anyone know if she is in ILADS?
Thanks
