I know this sounds like an odd request, but the top docs are so difficult and expensive to see I was hoping someone could recommend doctors that may not be part of the top 3-5 but have still been successful in treating/healing you.

The advise I've gotten is try to get in to see the top docs while seeing a decent doc who can start you on the right path. That's what I'm hoping someone could recommend.

I'm willing to travel up or down (or even a little west) the east coast from NC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

So you don't want NC?

Lymetoo, thanks for your PM with the NC docs. I have experience with 3 on the list and from my brief experience and comments from others with more experience it doesn't seem like the NC docs have a lot to offer.

I'd love for that not to be the case since travel can be difficult for me but I feel like I may not have a choice if I want to seek a better level of care/ and a doc with experience.

I could certainly be wrong but I don't know how to go about finding out a docs track record other than putting out feelers here for people's recommendations.

If someone has had good results with an NC doc I would love to hear it.

Have you tried www.ratemds.com or others?

Not many here are from NC .. but you could search through Seeking a Doctor for other posters from NC and contact them by private message.

Also try contacting support groups. They are a wealth of information.

I can give you names of top-notch doctors. Not sure I would want to travel to see a 2nd tier myself.
