I have a diagnosis of chronic lyme disease from a physician in Virginia nearly 10 years ago. I am seeking a LLMD in Alabama who accepts Medicare to treat me with IV antibiotic therapy. I take 500 mg of clarithromycin every day due to the kindness of a local physician who believes that I have a serious problem but who is not a specialist who feels comfortable providing long-term treatment.

Please contact me privately on this site with any referrals. I understand that most lyme doctors do not want their names published.

Welcome to Lymenet!

There are none in AL & GA. One LLMD in FL who does is not taking new patients.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/alabamalyme

Maybe they can help.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

And stay away from the "LLMD" who thinks he is one. He's in AL. Let me know you need to know more.
