Hi! I had RMSF when I was nine - almost forty now! I've always had all these things - joints hurt, fatigue, etc... I found Dr. H's book at the library and am really excited by it. I would love to find a doctor like that, but money is definitely an issue here. Any ideas, please? Thank you! [ 04-28-2014, 11:35 PM: Message edited by: Robin123 ]

Welcome to Lymenet! Unfortunately, the top Lyme doctors don't take insurance and they are expensive. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment. Check the online state Lyme groups at:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/northcarolinalyme Maybe they can help you. Some more resources for you:www.lyme-aware.org/north-carolina.html Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon. Yes, Dr. H's book, "Why Can't I Get Better?", is an excellent source of information. He is the top LLMD. View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com
