Sorry to be posting again so soon, but I'm trying to find areas outside of W. MA with better LLMDs as I'm considering trying to move closer to one as this area is a bust. Would love any names specifically near Philly on the NJ side. Thanks all for doing the hard work compiling these lists.

priscillaian - Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA & MD. You need to write a new post instead of adding onto an existing one. That way, more people will see it and respond. Most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this: "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance"http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/2/15615?#000005s When you call for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this. Check the online state Lyme groups at:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pennsylvanialyme Maybe they can help you. Some more resources for you:www.lyme-aware.org/pennsylvania.html www.lymepa.org The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information. Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon. View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com
