My 20 year old daughter has had Lyme for 10 years. I need a recommendation for the BEST lyme doctor to treat Chronic Lyme anywhere on the East Coast. There are no good LLMD's in the south and so far nothing has gotten rid of this disease. Please do not recommend herbalists or natural healers. Been there - done that. I need a medical doctor with a proven track record in dealing with persistent chronic Lyme. Thank you.

Your dear daughter needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease and its complex treatment!
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
