Hello, I'm a dietitian in Virginia and need to find a LLMD for a client who is ideally also able to treat mold allergy. My client is in Harrisonburg, VA 22802.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for VA.

You should add "in VA" in your title so people will know where you are specifically looking and more will respond. Click on the pencil/paper icon, make you addition, then click "Edit post".

Your client needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately. He/she needs to go where they are.

Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When calling for an appointment, have your client ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this. Also have him/her ask about mold treatment.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Have him/her read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
