I am a 45 year old female with a well documented positive Lyme disease infection at age 29 from a spinal tap.

I am now in progressive stage of central nervous system disorder, neurological issues and post cerebral brain bleed two years.

I am in severe chronic pain and even with all my medical records of positive test for Lyme all I hear is from doctors is we are afraid to treat you.

I am begging for help my will to thrive and survive is diminishing by the day.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MO, OH, IN & VA.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:

I don't know of any LLMDs in KY.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
