Could you share the list of TX doctors... I have been experiencing some strange symptoms after removing a tick. I am closest to DFW region.
I found a tick which had been attached for 3-7 days, I was given a single 200 mg dose of doxycycline 2 day after removal of tick by my nurse practitioner. It has now been 6 days since that single dose of antibiotic. I am still experiencing red swollen, sometime itchy palms of hands, fatigue and "brain fog" which began about 4 days before tick was found and removed (estimate the tick was hanging out with me for few days to a week)

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
