Hi, I contracted Lyme disease in 2011 and completed the round of antibiotics then. I am now exhibiting chronic symptoms and would like to see a Lyme literate doctor. Coud you please send me information on area doctors familiar with Lyme? Thank you.

Since nobody from NY has come along, I suggest you contact the lyme support groups in your state and nearby states.
See Support Groups on the left side of the page. They will be familiar with the docs and know who is getting people well.
Be willing to travel. Good lyme docs are few and far between.
Eventually, some will come along with names for you. Welcome to LymeNet! Good for you for asking for a doctor here.
The best document you can read to get an education on this disease is the Burrascano Lyme Treatment Guidelines found here and at the top of Medical Questions:
"Undertreated infections will inevitably resurface, usually as chronic Lyme, with its tremendous problems of morbidity and difficulty with diagnosis andtreatment and high cost in every sense of the word." (page 3)
So, what has happened to you is so very common. Good for you for figuring it out. All of our doctors are miseducated about this disease, so the initial treatment we get is often inadequate.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for upstate NY & PA.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
