I am currently seeking a LLMD in VA because I have been experiencing Lyme symptoms, and I have had a bite on June, 20th 2017. Preferably in the Tidewater area of southeastern VA. Also, I have a brother that has been suffering from chronic lyme symptoms for over 3 years and currently does not have a llmd. He lives in the NH/MA area.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for VA, MD, & DC.
I sent you a separate PM with names of LLMDs in NH/MA for your brother.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients go out-of-state for care.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
Also, I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:
To remove your name from the signature line, click on "Edit Profile" under Lymenet Flash in the top middle section of the Lymenet page.
Click on "Edit Profile" on the left-hand side, scroll down to "Profile Fields" then down to "Signature". Make your changes, then click "Update Profile".
You would have to contact one of the moderators to change your username.

Might also want to read up on the spotted fever recently found in the tidewater Virginia area called "Tidewater spotted fever" or "R. parkeri rickettsiosis". Not many people know about it yet.
