My general practitioner has been treating me and doesn't have experience with lyme that has been active for a year. My hands and wrists have been swollen for months and the antiobiotics he has me on are not working. I am retired and need a specialist who takes Medicare. I live in northern NJ, so I can also go into New York City.

Welcome to Lyment ChuckC

We will help anyway we can.

Finding a LLMD that accepts insurance is like finding a needle in a haystack. Learn why here ;

You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here ;

https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

There is a message box where you can write you need a LLMD that accepts Medicare.

You need to watch 'Under Our Skin' a documentary about the struggles of Lyme patients trying to find treatment.
