I was hoping someone could help me. I have had 2 different doctors I since 1998. I have gotten worse, haven’t been able to walk without a walker the last 10 years. Are there any doctors out there that can help me? I live in Ohio but i’m Only 3 miles from the PA line. Both doctors I have had Are PA doctors. Please help!
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Here is a link for them:
Unfortunately, LLMDS are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should add the specific state you are looking for in the title of your post. That way, you will get more responses.
Click on "Edit Post" above your post, then add the state you are looking for. To finish, click "Edit Post" at the bottom of your post.
