Welcome to Lymenet jade
You need to be seen by a Lyme Litterate Medical Doctor (LLMD) who specializes in Tick Borne Infections. As you have probably experienced, main-stream medical doctors don't have a CLUE on how to diagnosis or treat Lyme disease. So glad you found us, we can help.
You first need to get your finances in order as most LLMD'S don't participate with health insurances and your 1st visit will be the costliest and longest. Here's why;
These are both easy e-mail formats for you to fill out. They will contact you with the nearest LLMD'S. It is important for you to research each LLMD referred to you. You can do this by googling for patient reviews or you can join your area's Lyme support groups. Support groups have first-hand knowledge of LLMD'S treatments and sucesses. Here are some Lyme support groups near you;
In order for you to get well, you MUST become your own healthcare advocate. Research everything you can on Tick Borne Infections. Lymenet has the best 'search' engine located in the middle of home page. You can also post any questions you have and a Lymenet member will respond with their experiences. We are open 24 hours a day and will help in anyway we can.
Good luck on your healing journey. I will send you a private message.

Sorry you are going through this, but you've come to the right place. We will help you all we can.
You should add "in NC" in your title, so that people will know specifically where you are looking.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients go out of state for proper care.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. View "Under Our Skin" and "Under Our Skin2: Emergence". Check your local library or buy them used on online.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:
To remove your name from the signature line, click on "Edit Profile" under Lymenet Flash in the top middle section of the Lymenet page.
Click on "Edit Profile" on the left-hand side, scroll down to "Profile Fields" then down to "Signature". Make your changes, then click "Update Profile".
You would have to contact one of the moderators to ask how to change your username.
