Hello all. Someone the other day asked me about Lyme friendly psychiatrists or therapists and I didn't have any suggestions for them. I looked into it quite awhile ago but the one name I had is apparently not practicing any longer (or not accepting new patients)

Those Psychiatrists / MDs who are Lyme literate and able to treat specific psychiatric symptoms are welcome of course, but ideally also those psychiatrists (or therapists) who are familiar with/believe in the symptoms that come along with Lyme and related chronic illnesses and provide therapy with a good rapport is also appreciated. In short, while medications (prescription or herbal/supplemental )are one tool in the toolbox, those who also make therapy (ie the "talking" side of things) a core part of their care are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You can connect with NatCapLyme (National Capitol Lyme DiseaseAssociation) to get feed-back on this area’s physicians.
https://natcaplyme.org/support-groups/

You can request a LLMD through ILADS here;
https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here;
https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

These are simple e-mail formats that you fill out and will be contacted back. There is a message box where you can write you are seeking a mental health professional.

You must research all LLMD’s that are referred to you. To do this, google for patient reviews

I will send you a pm.
