Very recently I have been diagnosed with Lyme desease(garinii).
I feel like i have had this pretty much all my life and everything start to make sense now as I have struggled with ADHD since I can remember.
Here in Spain I have been at two doctors who know about Lyme. For my second appointment I even traveled from Southern Spain to Madrid(350 miles) and I got two completely treatment proposals. The first one got me on an antibiotic treatment which I stopped after three days(because of what I was told by the second doctor I saw) and the second doctor got me on a vitamin pill treatment and an extremely strict diet
I have lived for most of my adult life in The US and feel I like there are more options there because there are a lot more Lyme diagnoses than here.I am ok flying into The US if I find the right lyme specialist.
Online I have found a couple of options in NY and CA. However there’s a lot of misleading info online and I don’t know who I should trust.
That being said if anyone could give me a doctor suggestion I would be extremely thankful. Traveling in Europe would make things easier but I want to know about the best Lyme specialist.

Welcome to Lymenet bokeron.
Please edit your post and delete the names of the doctors, as per Lymenet rules.
When searching for LLMD's, you should search for ILADS trained LLMD's. These are LLMD's that are trained according to the International Lyme and Assoicated Diseases Society (ILADS). Their protocol should look similar to retire Dr B's guidelines; https://www.lymeneteurope.org/files/burrascano-lyme-guidelines-october-2008.pdf
These are easy E-mail formats that you fill out. There is a message box that you can specify your needs. As Tick Borne Infections are a global epidemic threat, they will connect you to LLMD's in Spain if you wish or the state's here.
The top LLMD's in the U.S. usually have a lengthy wait list or will not accept new patients at this time. I will send you a private message.
Healing wishes on your health journey 💚

I don't know of a LLMD in Europe to recommend to you. Most patients come to the USA for treatment.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H. titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get them at your local library or buy them used online.
Btw - you should add the words "in the USA" in your title, so people will know specifically where you are looking. Click on "Edit Post", make your changes, then click on "Edit Post" again.
