My gynecologist seems to think I might have cervical cancer. I am being optimistic and thinking it just a "lyme thing". However, a few prayers wouldn't hurt. I have the biopsy Wed. afternoon. Hiker

Thanks for your prayers. The biopsy went smoothly--no pain at all. I won't get the results for a few days, but I am confident all will be normal. Hiker

When I had a bad, bad pap a cone biopsy was done-it had clear margins and years later I carried a child, no problem. As it was explained to me a cone shaped piece of my cervix was cut away.
There was a good bit of pain for 1-2 days but after that I never missed it.
Perhaps that is something for you to ask about.
Maybe ask a second doctor, or a third.
