I have an appointment in the morning, and I might start appropriate treatment... FINALLY!
I'm so nervous. What if it doesn't go the way I hoped? What if the doctor actually won't treat me? Eeek. I'm really nervous.
Send me some positive vibes, and I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon whether or not I'm getting treatment.

Well, you know this feeling is normal. Most everyone gets nervous before an important appointment. Can you take some valerian to help you sleep tonight?
Do you have some supplemental magnesium to take? Low mag can cause irregular heartbeats.
When you go tomorrow, don't wear makeup. You want the doctor to see your normal skin tone, and any redness on your face.
Do you have any medical records to bring with you? Write down a list of your symptoms and the years they began, and how they progressed. Write a list of your medications. You can ask about testing for co-infections (babesia, erlichia, bartonella, mycoplasma).
Many Lyme patients are disorganized and forgetful when they get to the doctor's office. That's what happens when we have brain involvement, or "cognitive dysfunction."
Good luck. Carol

I actually saw this doctor 2 weeks ago. He ordered a bunch of tests, including tests for all co-infections. He said he wanted to get a full picture before setting up a treatment plan.
Maybe it's just paranoia, but I wonder if he's just going to be like all the others and blow me off. Is he going to say I don't have Lyme Disease because my sed rate is normal, like the other doctors did? Is he going to claim that since the ELISA is negative, even though the Western Blot is positive, that I don't have Lyme Disease?

PS.... A low sed rate is often INDICATIVE of Lyme. You can have a high sed rate and have Lyme, but many Lyme patients have a very low rate. Mine is "3."
