Well,
I'm on hold!!!
don't you love that part of it!
I swore he was going to hire me on the spot, but then it shifted he pulled out his calculator and tallied up and then said he had a few other applicants to review and he would get back to me..

A friend said interviews never take more than 30 minutes on an average so since this guy took a whole hour, it looks good..

an old instructor of mine said that is a big plus he obviously has some thinking to do and if he spent that much time with me on the interview then I should not sweat too much over not getting hired.... since he obvisouly was seriously considering hiring lil ol me...
man could I really use the experience and the money right now.... keep me in your thoughts and thanks for thinking of me..
Linda

Yeah Lymetoo,
a Calculator,,, you know how those lawyers are they are always thinking of the money... [shake]
but anyway I am just playing hte waiting game and tomorrow I will send out the GOLDEN follow up letter thanking him for his precious time.. [Wink]
And letting him know that after thinking abou tit I will fit in fine in that office.... thinking of the value it will add to my resume if ever I need to put one out again...

and of course that almighty dollar which means so much to our family now in order to get well again! [tsk]

Thanks Trout~~ [Smile]
Anyone want to tell me the shortest interview time they ever spent and then the longest time?
just for curiousity's sake...

I have had interviews last 5 minutes and 1 1/2 hours.

Out of the 42 interviews I have held since becoming an Adult...ha, ha...I have been hired for the position OR at a higher level 41 times.
(THe one I missed....they wanted me to be a Regional Director and move to Oregon..I turned them down...they said I was over qualified)

I have a certain theory on job interviews.

Lots of body language...at the right time, show that you think on yopur own...disagree with them on some point, and always tell them that you have NEVER given two weeks notice...why? By the time they are finished with my interview..they understand...that I have just partnered with them...and if they aren't living up to their side of the deal..I fire them.......then I give give them references galore...of which 1/2 are the ones I walked away from...and guess who gives me the best ratings. Wow trout,
I like you logic and it would be right up my alley.. I just never clicked into that thought process .. but really, why is it that the company would have the firing upper hand? as most jobs it is a two way street and if it isnt someone is bound to get the short end of the deal usually the one being hired.. in standard thinking processes..

but it really takes effort from both parties to make or break the relationship.. I love your logic and I will keep this in my attitude checks from here in.... thank you for sharing..it wil definately give my self esteem some major boost that it really needs to get in somewhere... especially when the guy pulls out the calculator in the implication that you are not worth the money... BS>. I know i am.. that is why I told him to hire me and give me a shot at it,, he wouldnt regret it...

now I have printer failure and cant get my follow up letter out .. so it will make it about a wekk late ,, but hey, if he was willing to take that much time wiht me in the interview i gather he should allow for technology malfunctions and oh well if he can't, after all people are only human..
I dont think I can manage to pull off the work world anyways but at least I'm willing to put my best foot forward..I think I will at least call the law office and tell them I was working on a follow up letter.... but ran into pinter problems and until I resolve that if wonot get there
