Hi everyone,

Sad news, our friend Mary Patten, known on the LymeNet Flash for many years as "mary pat", passed away yesterday, Sunday January 22, 2006.

Those of you who were here with us on LymeNet in the late 1990's and early 2000's will remember her wisdom and her wit. She was a good person with a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. We will miss her.

Oh Lou, This is terrible news. My heart goes out to

her family. She was on Lymenet for many years and

a real sweetheart...she will be missed.

Had anyone here kept up with how she was doing?

Yes, we live in the same town and kept in touch with Mary and Norm. She battled cancer for the past 18 months and it took its final toll on her.

I hate to hear that. Mary Pat and I used to exchange emails way back in the days of the old flash.

I knew she had issues other than lyme but I guess I just wished them away..

We're both so sorry to hear the news.

I remember Mary Pat! How sad! I'm so sorry to hear this. Thanks for letting us know, Lou. I'm glad you were able to be her friend. She will be missed.
