This disease is scary. My 4-year-old who shouldn't have a care in the world is having bad physical problems, and getting worse fast. But it helps so much to know there are people who understand. Thank you all for being here and listening.

You asked, "Is it true? Can this disease be fatal? Another thing for me to worry about with my little girl. I wish it were me instead of her."

Yes, LYME is fatal. I do not know what 3 Iowans died from who had CHRONIC LYME, but their death certificates showed LYME as the reason.

I'm guess for not getting treatment soon enough; I'm sorry I don't know the specifics. But I did want to answer honestly too.

Hoping the other mommies of young kids come on soon so you all can compare notes!

We're happy to be here and trying to help you as well as 24/7 SUPPORT. Come on anytime; someone is on here.

Check out TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS GOOD; print it off; you will be back to study up on more things and he adds bi-weekly when he gets enough to enter ok!

Bettyg .... thanks for being such a GOOD MOMMY!
