I just finished nursing school and am waiting to take my boards. Nursing school was hard enough with Lyme...I'm not sure what I was thinking taking on such a physically demanding job.

Are any of you nurses with Lyme? I'm scared, I'm applying for jobs and am so afraid I'm not going to be able to cut it physically.

Thanks,
Cutie

there's 4-6 on here; some show it in their nicknames so you might do a search in the DIRECTORY found below at top under post/reply.

those I can think of:

IMANURSE; np, CAROL, ANN - RN, rest I've forgotten their nicknames, but your subject title is excellent, and you'll get answers that way!

Azure, thanks for those 2.

I'm so embarrassed; I correspond almost daily with iceskater & forgot she was a RN; that darn lyme brain . [confused] .. I miss my accurate memory.

I'm planning on nursing school, but I've been sick over 20 years and have continual setbacks. No good days. I'm worried, too!

Good luck to you starphoenix! I made it thru somehow but somedays I thought I would die. Instead of taking care of patients at the hospital I felt like I just wanted to push them over and get in bed with them.

I guess if I did clinicals I can do a job but I am so afraid. 12 hours straight of working my butt off!

It's my dream and I'm finally there but maybe I should have gone to law school instead. [Smile]

I've been an RN for 21 years. Most of my experience is ICU and ER. I currently work in a doctors office. I can barely get through a day. Most people I know can't believe I work. Unfortunately, I have to work.

There is NO WAY I could work in a hospital now. It's a very stressful, busy job.

Thanks, Cutie. And Patti, I have been thinking I'll have to go the office route, too.
