There were some fights in off topic and I think she had her feelings hurt, and left. Might also have seemed like a point when she wanted her life not to revolve around lyme anymore. I do think she got into remission and was in school, nursing I seem to recall.
She had some really terrible things happen in her life before lyme, don't know how she survived it all. Hope she is doing well.

I think also she went tothe NEW lyme board started when lymenet had all the fighting and Tincup left. TC sent many of us invitations to join the new one; I did; but wasn't comfortable on there. I quit it when this board got back to "normal".

i miss her too. she had some invaluable insights into several non-lyme medical conditions and surrounding issues, borne of several life experiences vouchsafed by few, and from which those who read her posts, benefited.

She is a wonderful person and I used got cards and greeeting from her often ,but have not in the past year( I did move two years ago though) When I finally was diagnosed with Lyme in 2002 she was the 1st one to get me tons of pamplets snd info , copies of articles etc and forwarded a huge bundle through the mail to me.
I can't imagine why anyone would ever say anything to drive away a terrific lyme knowledgeable & truely helpful person like her, she honestly ares for people.I am saddened to think that may have been the case. If so shame on them.
I myself have not even been posting here in the past two years - just to sick to even read.

There was a dust up about animals after Katrina hit and it went on for some time between posters.
Kara just spoke her mind. Maybe it wasn't so popular, but she is missed.
I wonder if she is still in med school?
I would like to see her back. She had been through some of the most horrible times a parent could have gone through and I was amazed at her resilience. Not to mention her own physical problems.
Maybe that's why she spoke so matter of fact, sometimes these things just change you.
