Dear members,

A dear friend of mine who has suffered from LD all of her adult life and has been disabled with it applied for SS disability and after an incredible mess got it. They made a mess on top of a mess to result in the mess to end all messes and it is still going on.

On top of it all there has been a huge mess with the payment of her agent who represented her in the case. SS keeps mucking that up too. Needless to say, he has had a on going duck fit. Of course he messed up her case too.

I just got an e mail in which she told me the SS people had deposited the sum owed the agent in her bank account again and again the figure was dead wrong. I sent her a reply which I hope helped a little with the frustration of dealing with this insane situation or at least to laugh about it. I send it to you. The names have been changed to protect the guilty. Cheers. Thomas Parkman

Hortense, dear heart, here I am sitting in the cools of Asheville. I have been out walking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have met some very nice people. Even though the people look trashy and awful they have at least nearly all been civil.

I am happy. I am still in pain but am feeling better than I have in months. This PM I was in bliss. The moutains are simply radiantly beautiful. The sunlight and clouds are a miracle. All that marvelous greenery. Miles and miles of it. I was out walking and I was so happy.

And here YOU go again with SS. Now you know that SS is always going to fornicate up the business. They are incapable of doing other wise. It is as if you were expecting an alcoholic to give up Polar Bear, TJ Swan, Mad Dog 20/20 and Listerine and walk a straight line. They ain't gonna do it. They can't do it.

Your mistake is to expect these people to be competent and honest. If they were do you think they would be working (???-yees I know that is a questionable use of the word) for the US government and SS?? It is a giant welfare system to give a pay check to people who would otherwise be starving to death or rioting in the streets and burning the joint down.

Now instead of complaining and mother dogging about it why don't YOU just get off your limeaided gluteus maximus supremus et magnificus and go to work for them. You have said that your brain does not work four out of five days a week. CASE CLOSED. do you really think those clowns brains ???-again the word is used loosely and advisedly-work even forty five minutes a month?? You might then even straigthen out your file. Cause nobody, but nobody else is. That is hard, and cold and cruel I know, but that is just the way it is. Maybe we should get together and dream up a country western song about it.

In the meantime, let Cuthbert baby eat his heart out!!! Put the moola in the bank and collect interest on it and forget it. cheers.
