There YOU are! Hey TC! Boy, have I been missing you.

Gosh, I even had a dream about you a few weeks ago. (I think we maybe should be slightly worried about that, not sure though, we had fun even so.)

[Big Grin]

I've been for the most part been tolerating the Babs treatment for better than 2 months.

New LLMD found a couple of reactivated viruses and wants to treat those and the hormonal imbalances.

So tell us how you're doing! Boy, oh boy, is it good to see you. -

And TC...

Thank you for everything, again! [kiss]

Hello Tin Cup!

Big news in my world is I should hear from CALPERS soon whether or not they believe this is work related.

IF so, I will have more income to battle this.

Prayers needed CALPERS approves me the first time around.

I can appeal it if need be but it would be great to have it approved the first time around.

Have not been able to work for 5 years now.

How are you doing? Have you read the book that Trails recently posted about? Sounds good.

Nice to see that familiar name pop up on a Fri nite when I haven't been here for awhile...I said something like OMG it's TC.

you don't need to be worried about the rest of us...I did something stupid and feel like an idiot but that's usual for me.

sure glad to see you back....

TC!!! Good to know your fingers weren't broken - just the pc.

We've missed your wit and wisdom [bow]

Still in remission and mostly lurking around this place - almost 2 years now.

So great to have you back!! [group hug]

Welcome back my friend Tincup; you ACTIVIST you! Tell us how YOU ARE DOING now please; we missed you more than you can know.

You keep the board lively and educational all at the same time. You born with such wit that Johnny Carson would have loved to had for a 3rd side kick besides Ed McMahon!

Ed was supposed to come to Iowa this week for Johnny Carson's BIRTH PLACE celebration, but is very ill & couldn't make it.

I've had some GOOD news lately from docs:

. NO lyme or diabetes in my eyes! yea
. NO change of lenses! Yippee; I have 4 pairs of different RX lenses; each has its own purpose!

. My diabetes is under control!
. my A1C was 6.0; IDEAL NORMAL; 6.0 is when they tell you have diabetes!!
. NO PROTEIN IN URINE ... NO KIDNEY PROBLEMS!

Went to LaCross, Wisc. allergist for testing;
he found many allergies to MOLD, dust mites, trees, pollen, grass, etc.

. taking under the tongue allergens for the allergies he found.

LLMD/holistic MD put me on 22 supplements in JJuly. I was up to 15 of them when 1 or more ccaused me severe fatigue; in bed 4-8 times a day.

Allergist took me off all for 10 days; got my energy level back and now adding 1 new supp every 4 days. Up to 6 meds.

Iowa BCBS has denied and waiting for their OFFICIAL letter to start MY APPEAL PROCESS:

. all 3 of my LLMD/"alternative" medicine visits,
. 6 RX compounded pharmacy prescriptions;
. $1,000 of supplements for 1 month;

. $3,000 of body lab testings she ordered including FOOD ALLERGY teting which found I'm allergic to:

. gluten ... wheat/rye;
. casein ... cow's milk, cheeses, egg whites, & garlic
plus my being diabetic; HUGE DIET CHANGE I am trying to follow.

I haven't been on a vacation in 4-5 years, but covered over 2,000 miles for the 3 trips to E. Minn. and LaCrosse, Wisc. Saw beautiful scenery but not the gorgious fall colors of the trees!

Helping 2-3 people with SSDI apps.

Now dear sweet Tincup, how ARE YOU DOING? What have YOU been up too.

Hope your family vacation was a huge blessing to you all!
Love you, our ice cream freak friend! [group hug] [kiss]

Boy am I in GOOD company here,

Was just wondering 'bout ya and here ya are!!!

Some people are partial to gold, some others to silver, platnium and bronze are NICE!!

Me, myself, and I prefer to love my "TIN" cup.

I am anxuoisly awaiting to hear the "rest of the story" re: how you managed to get Melanie and her uncle back in family contact. What a beautiful THING to do for a dear friend. How did you ever find him thru all the chaos of Katrina???

And of course the rest of the story on the "Charlie" misfortune thing mentioned above. With any luck maybe tonight on chat. I thought I had a lock on dumb moves.

I stepped on a nail a couple weeks ago. Then tore half the hide off my finger with a rusty square nutted bolt/burr with an impact wrench.

Other than that samemo, samemo, cant figure it out really!! Why no better, no worse?? No herx, no response to abx, ever?? OA has me 'quitting' all I have worked for over the years. I dont know where that leaves me other than out in the wind.

Wish I knew what the right thing to do is!!!

I looked at the calendar recently and said"'Bout time for TC's return!!" Maybe my calling is in fortune telling,,,anybody have a spare good used crystal ball??? Because I remain--just don--

Tiredness makes my responses brief tonight.. but do know I am smiling.

Trails.. yes. I'm keeping up with you through Mountana. And wishing you luck... while saying a prayer too. Keep in touch!

```````````````````````````````````````````````
Magic..
Great to see you! But sorry to hear about the relapse. Not fair at all. Can we do anything to make you more comfortable? Lettuce no!
``````````````````````````````````````````````

True..

I have been hearing good things about you and how wonderful a friend you've been. From the bottom of my heart.. thanks! Good to know the LLMD is helping you. Hope you finally get the help YOU deserve.

````````````````````````````````````````````````
Kam!
I was thinking about you the other day. You just popped in my mind. Nice to know you may have a well deserved happy ending approaching. I know it is hard.. but keep up the good fight!!! I haven't read the book you mentioned.. not seen the post about it either yet.. but will look. Thanks for the head's up. I am waiting to hear more about the outcome.. and wishing you luck!
```````````````````````````````````````````````

Oh it's Muffin head and Petunia!!! I miss you both so much!! Please tell Petunia I was having a major brain lapse the other day and was trying to explain to the local nursery folks about a flower I had that was soooooooo beautiful this year.. which I bought from them. For the life of me I could NOT come up with the name of it. After about an hour of me describing it and beating myself up for having NO clue about the name.. one of the people said.. "Could it be a Petunia?"

YES!!!!!

Now you KOW how stupid that made me feel!!! So the following week "Petunia" popped in my mind over and over again. I smiled cause I thought of MY special friend Petunia.

And you'd be happy to know. When the buzzards fly high above the house now and circle it.. especially when I am feeling right ruff.. I just tell myself it is you all stopping by to say hi... and I am not freaked out any more.

And do tell! You said YOU did something stupid? I can't imagine! You MUST have been caught.. or you haven't learned to keep your mouth shut when you do a Tincup! HA!

Love to you both!
````````````````````````````````````````````````
Lymemom2222222... Such a beautiful blanket. TOO nice to lay on the ground! And.. it makes me giggle! Thanks again!
About Mel... well I have a story to tell.. once I get rested and caught up. It will make you giggle.
````````````````````````````````````````````````

Lymein..

2 years. Wow.. it seems like just yesterday you showed up here. In the meantime you've gotten so educated and helped so many folks along the way. I know I have always enjoyed your posts and appreciate the info you've shared. It's so good to have you here even though you are in remission... it really is. You are a dear.

``````````````````````````````````````````````
Cute tutu.. real cute! Sorry you can't make it to Marguritaville. But then I'm not sure of their policy on keeping your pants up... especially in the bar.
And your silly little habit of dropping your drawers MIGHT not be appropriate in that situation. And I am pretty sure the medical board wouldn't approve if you showed up at the hearing either with your britches around yer ankles!
But I would LOVE it! HA!
Good to see you. Is hubby doing ok? Hope so!
BettyG...
Once again.. thanks for ALL you do to help folks. Good work!!!
Sounds like you are doing better and finally getting some answers and direction that will help you medically. That is great news. Sounds like a lot of supplements too! Your head must be swimming trying to keep all that straight! Let us know how it works for you!
The diet sounds difficult at the least. How are you managing? I would imagine once you get it down it will make you feel better. Are you taking L-Glutamine to repair the gut lining and reduce the allergies?
Keep up the good work! Nice.. real nice to see you!
````````````````````````````````````````````````

Dear Maddog..

I was so disappointed to miss the float. I find it difficult to miss any chance to see you and the others... so much! Did you post about it somewhere? I'd love to hear how it went!

And how are you doing? Holding on? How about work? Any decissions yet? Let me know! I think of you often.. fondly of course.

```````````````````````````````````````````````
Just Don..
Aren't you the ladies man? Sweet to the core.
I must be missing something about Charlie?? Hope everything is ok?? I've been out of touch so someone fill me in please.
A nail in your foot? OUCH! And a knuckle cracker.. DOUBLE ouch!! Your luck sounds about like mine lately.
For a couple of weeks I was referred to as, "Dances with Ceiling Fan". That was followed up with the new name.. "Dances with Weed Whacker".
True grace in motion! HA! Me thinks you get the picture.
I wish I had some answers for your delima with the meds. If you care to email me.. [email protected]
I'll be happy to try and help. Anything for you my friend.
As for finding lost folks after the storm... I usually start with locals. Since I was a firefighter I tend to start there and check with local fire departments. If they can't help out.. I go to the local police since I was in law enforcement too. I find they are very willing to assist in most cases.. especially one of their own. In this case the local police were able to check out the situation for me... and within hours we had answers for Mountana. THEY were the ones who helped out the most. Credit goes to them.
And dang it all. I always forget about the chat. Haven't been there in a LONG time.. mostly because I forget it is Saturday.. and what time it is. I need a reminder I guess?
Wonderful to see you dear friend.
````````````````````````````````````````````````

5dana..

You make me smile. Always.

Thanks for that!

```````````````````````````````````````````````
You have a phone call. Just follow this fellow.
True..
I THOUGHT you knew better than to encourage Cave when she behaves that way.
Not sure what is going to happen.. but I DO hope you both do well. Bless your heart.
Please let us know. Looking forward to your return!
Welcome back, Ms. TC.
We've been missin yer quick witted self.
I find myself suddenly jobless, after 14 long years with the same employer. I was limping along pretty pathetically, so it was perhaps a big push from the universe that it's time to focus on getting well instead of trying to pretend I'm OK. Coupla take-home points:
(a) Two months of treatment prolly ain't enough to fix babesia WA-1;
(b) Much as I am so done with lawyers (career paralegal), I spose I better find one more to help me deal with the SSDI process. (I've read all the links & joined the yahoo group.)
It's great to have you back with your dancin' self!
Tincup,
What a swell thing to see your name on this board again; we've missed you, gal!
As far as my life, after 13 months of treatment, I'm significantly better (actually walked more than a mile each day while on vacation at the beach). The tini continues to kick my butt the one week each month I take it.
Plus, my immune levels are wacko!
But I'm feeling a LOT better and this week I'm actually starting on-site contract work three days a week, plus working with my own clients the rest of the week. I couldn't have done half that much even a few months ago.
Not 100% yet but continuing to make slow, steady progress and grateful for every minute of it.
Hope you'll be hanging around now that you're up and running again.
Andie
Oh Michelle.. My Bell...
Sorry to hear about the job.. unless it sucked anyway.. which I have a feeling it didn't. But yes.. you are right. Time to focus on YOU and getting better. The reduced stress levels should make for a better recovery too.
As for the legal help... hmmmmmm.. since you are a paralegal.. might you try this the first go around on your own? I am NOT suggesting it.. just wondering. Truth is.. don't paralegals do most of the REAL work anyhow? BUT.. if you aren't feeling up to it... by all means grab a lawyer by the shoe lace and hang on tight.
Oh.. did I say I smiled to see you? And missed you too! Good to be back in good company.
```````````````````````````````````````````````

ANDIE!

Why is it I still cringe when I see your name.. before I read your posts?

You must know why.

For so very long it seemed you REALLY sucked! You were one sick puppy! I wasn't real hopeful when I'd see your low levels of functioning to tell you the truth. You actually had me rather scared! I worried you might give up.. or give out.

But you hung in there.. and look at you now baby!

[Big Grin]

Sooooooooo... now....... imagine how GREAT it is to hear you are improving! And walking the beach! How wonderful is that! I was actually there with you when you walked the beach. But there is something about the foot prints. Like I carried you.. nah.. you MUST have carried me.. cause I don't recall any sand in my shoes lately.

Walking.. oh yes! Good for you!

You said..

"The tini continues to kick my butt the one week each month I take it."

And I will continue to kick your butt.. given the chance.. if you don't behave yourself!

So nice to see your smiling face!

night night!

TC,

Not to worry -- ever -- about my either giving up OR giving out. I'm one fightin' gal, though I have to admit this disease is one formidable adversary.

But you're right, I was a sick pup. In fact, we had some friends over for dinner this past weekend. One hadn't seen me in about half a year. She said: Wow, I wasn't sure you'd survive all this...and she's an ER nurse!

Now, it's just a question of hanging in there for the long haul, just to be sure all this is out of my system.

I loved walking on the beach each day, but between you and me, TC, there are times when I really miss being in the woods. Not yet, though. i'm still too vulnerable. Today, it's the beaches and Manhattan!

I'm so glad you're back here again. It's great to see you!

Andie
