Since they just kicked off the NEW Tv year and had a dozen 'Premires' of new shows,,,which is your favorite and why?? Might even ask what is your favorite old OR new show.

I like the new show, "Men in Trees" about the silly blonde girl from New York who transplanted to Alaska quite by accident and is 'liking' it!! Didnt even know what a skunk was or does!!

I think my favorite old show has to be "My name is EARL!!!" What antics they dont get into, arent worth talking about. Facial expressions are "priceless"

Followed closely by "The unit" and "Deal or NO Deal" Still typing like mad to try to win my $10,000 lucky case prize. (sad part is I cant watch the show and all the drama while entering on computer,I have to watch keys to type)

We are sorta at a disadvantage for that since we are in the same time slot as the east (along with OUR central time zone and we share , geography wise, a large populated area for the winner to be selected from.

SO,,,what show do you like,??? WHY????

I think one overhyped show that I cant stand is "Heroes". Cant see watching people think they are so super human they can jump from buildings and walk thru fire and NOT get hurt. Waiting for reports of youth from real life trying THAT!!! Cant get past the previews, just cant.

So do YOU have any YOU cant stand???I B --just don--

Don,

I have enjoyed Men In Trees too.

I also have enjoyed Everwood.

I haven't watched Deal No Deal yet but hear it is popular.

My favorite is Grey's Anatomy. Has been since day 1. I also like Desperate Housewives, Home Makeover, the Nanny, Wife Swap [weird stuff goes on in families across the US..!]

I just can't get into The Office and Earl. Maybe I have a different sense of what humor is? [showing my age!]

When does Men in Trees come on? What network?

PS...I haven't seen any "NEW" shows!!

I've enjoyed Kidnapped...

Still undecided about Studio 60 and Justice.

My favorites remain House and Greys Anatomy.

Hey ho Just Don...

Men in Trees?

Never had the pleasure.. but it sounds like a winner to me!

[Big Grin]

I'm not able to retain control of the remote much around here.. but really don't have time to either. And to my dismay... I don't believe there has been one single Orioles game that wasn't blarring on the tv here this year. I've had it up to HERE with Jim Palmer! I do love the O's.. but come ON! EVERY day? GEEZE!

Anyhow.. I am a re-run girl mostly. Too hard to focus on new things.

I enjoyed A FEW GOOD MEN this past weekend (THE MOVIE).. which aired several times. I also liked the guys on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. I laugh over and over at the same stuff... each time I see them.

And they had a marathon of the A-Team all weekend! Ba ba ba Bum, ba ba bum... Love it. That and the Duke Boys... So silly I have to laugh.

I usually watch the weather channel in the morning for a bit.. just to get oriented... but no news stuff.

For night time .. IF I watch.. and when I do I sit down at the tv.. turn it on to the thing I want to see.. watch it.. then turn it off. I am not a "let's see what's on tv" person.

I like Boston Legal.

I would enjoy NASCAR races IF I could watch them without so many distractions! I kinda like law and order.. but not the Criminal Intent one.

I don't like medical related shows, reality shows or game shows other than Jeapordy. I don't ever watch anything scary... and you can't make me!

I like the Golden Girls... and other older comedy shows.. and I listen to them sometimes, but don't usually sit and watch.

Ok.. back to the A-Team!

[Big Grin]

Gee, look at all the 'wonderful' replies!!!,

I absolutely get lost in shows like "LOST". Tried watching it a couple times, just like "Desperate Housewives" and couldnt make heads or tails of it.

Like I said "Earl" is tops but the "Office", I cant stand at all, I have to watch 'Survivor something Island' to survive. Dont like the bickering and back stabbing goes on in those shows, getting voted off is like a popularity election and I dont like THAT.

The 'Biggest loser' is always a real good feel good show as is Extreme Makeover series where they build houses for 'needy' people.

Its sad that TV is such a constant staple here, its the ONLY entertainment I have here besides Sudoku so its that or nothin and nothin isnt a winner.

I guess I have to plead innocence when it comes to the old reruns. (I ONLY get what comes down my old fashion aerial wires) So reruns of anything is out. Except I do tape a show everyday at 11AM. It is a generally feel good wholesome show of "Little House on the Prairie".

Wish I got the old Bonnaza and Gunsmoke reruns, that would be a treat around here, plus maybe a few other cowboy, shootem' up shows where the horses ran at a funny gait, bout 10-20% over revved!!Like the masked man and Tonto and hi -ho 'Silver'.

As to the Newbies,,, "Shark" looks like a keeper, I agree. There are so many shows I sorta like I tape one channel and watch another.

What makes a person dislike 'some' shows so much would rather watch paint dry than watch those shows?? And like others so much dont really want to miss any???

Of the new shows, I like "Shark" and "The Class". I'm a sucker for a good sitcom. I love "Two and a half men" (Can't believe they let them get away with the stuff they do" and "How I met your mother".

My most favorite shows are CSI (except Miami - can't stand David Carusso) and Grey's Anatomy. Good think I can tape this stuff 'cuz I'm generally in bed by 9:00!

OOPS - and I'm a Lost fan too!

I haven't found any new shows but I don't need to as time is always in short supply and I always have things that I should be doing.

I watch Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, and Lost (those are plugged into the DVR) we will watch Wife Swap (OMG those people) or Super Nanny if we catch it.

I live in Hawaii, on Oahu where they film Lost. It is fun to see places we know on the sow. I have had a few friends have their kids on the show as extras. A number of the cast live in our small town and we see them around the smoothie shop or other places.

Cave,

I love that Geico gecko and grin each time I see him!

Some of the other Geico ads leave me really cold, though -- one about a bear catching salmon and the cavemen having dinner.

Then I read that the company gears each ad campaign to a specific age demographic and, well, let's just say the gecko wasn't intended for Gen-xers or younger...

Still like it, though!

Just Don..

Could you get satelite? That's what we use.

Has lots of re-runs of the shows you mentioned. Do you have a DVD? If so.. let me know. I'll be happy to share some old Bonanza DVD's and some westerns if you'd like.

I use to watch Little House in the mornings too.. but when I was feeling quite sick it always made me cry! And after a while I decided getting up every day and crying before breakfast probably wasn't so good for me.

[Big Grin]

Tutu...

You said.. "Maybe you should marry my husband. Do you like wrestling too?"

Thanks for the kind offer.. but do you REALLY think he could possibly put up with the BOTH of us?

YIKES!

[Eek!]

And no to the wrestling... sorry.

However... You've challenged me to wrestling before.... several years ago... remember? In a pile of jello I believe?

Now that I know you have a husband that is a professional wrestler watcher...

You weren't planning on taking advantage of me now, were you?

Tincup,
NO I dont have a DVD player. Just a VCR. When I told the guy at the store I had an aerial reception he said a DVD wasnt for ME. Dont know what the difference is!

I 'had' sattelite twice. Both times they shut me off in the middle of the year/month with no refunds because they sold out to somebody else. Swore off them.

My continued existance here is in question, so will see next year when things are more definitive. 'IF' I move to the big city I will probably just hook up tv to city cable. OR I might move to the huge city to be closer and nearer to my grandkids(and there parents).

No matter WHAT I do or where I go,seems like watching TV will be my principle occupation from now on!! Sad as THAT is!! My mind says go,,,my body says WHOOOOOOOOA!!!

I did grow up watching pro wrestling. "IF" you believe that is all for real, ask yourself where all the carnage and gore is from beating up each other so badly??? They would absolutely 'kill' each other if they did half that stuff. I watch for the entertainment value. It is alot like a ongoing soap opera.
Be WEll,

Anybody heard what happened to that show'already'??

Liked the first couple shows and they had a CSI in their advertised time slot.(last night)

Does that mean they got pulled and cancelled already??? Or moved???

It was one of those we can steal anything caper shows. Thought it was going to be hard to do the heist of the century 'every' week. Only on tv, I know, I know!! I B --just don--

I thought I programmed the VCR for this, but it taped public tv's DO NO HARM, so when I get off here tonight, I'll have to go and watch that!!
