Need Advise!!!My son has been sick for about 9 months.. He had a bite on his elbow and it was red and infected. Dr gave antibiotics, reoccured in 3 months again anitbiotics. He had headaches, stiff neck and says that he feel like he is in a fog like state. A little disassociated at times. Now he had hip, knee and ankles that ache. I am extremely worried. He has had 2 lyme tests (neg) seen a neurologists, cat scan, mri, blood work-up. Any help???Any advise??

Lyme tests are not accurate. You can test negative and still have lyme.

You need to find a lyme literate dr (llmd) for your son.

If it is lyme they are they ones best to treat it. If it isnt well they are drs so they can acess that too.

Most drs dont know squat about lyme so getting a diagnosis and adequate treatment is often difficult.

If you post in seeking a dr and include where you are and where you can travel to (and your sons age probaly)

someone will private message you with a llmd's info.

Please make sure your pm is enabled cuz we do not post drs names on the board.

Best wishes

yes--go the "seeking doctor" section of these boards and post there.

Your son needs to be seen by a knowledgable doctor. A LLMD (lyme literate MD) If you continue to see doctors that are not immersed in the most current treatments for lyme you will find very a hostile atmosphere in the med community and many who will deny your son's illness and NOT provide the treatment he needs to get better.

Also read read read! got to ILADS site and read!
