At least I feel like I've been every morning I wake up. don't know if the Amoxy and probenicid is adding to the problem. Just feel heavy, weak muscles...flu like. My energy levels seem to improve during the day esp. 3pm till bedtime. I do get a good nights rest..sleep like a log, but when I wake up really hard to get oob. anyone else have this early morning sluggishness that improves as the day goes on?? I haven't returned to work yet, called in again today..EEK, antibiotics day 5. Maybe I'll have to consider returning to work during the evening hrs. anyone else have to change their work schedule?

Kumba I feel what you feel. Change my work schedule? I had to quit work.

I never thought I would miss working, but I do.

I am going through a rough time right now. I, too have probably 2hrs in the afternoon where I feel I can function.

I am so new to this, everything I read from other folks is exactly what I'm feeling.

There is not a part of my body that doesn't hurt. Including my mind. Can't think clearly, vision is blurred, heaviness over face.

I feel like I have had the worst flu ever for the last 2 -3 weeks.

Sorry to go on and on.

I hope and prayer you feel better soon.

Sounds like a herx. They really can hit hard. I find the herx does subside after a few days usually, although not always completely.

Kumba,

I have a hard time getting going in the am, which is frustrating because I am a morning person. Like getting my pills out and making coffee, eating breakfast would take an hour and then I could slowly get moving. It is some better now and one of my few remaining symptoms.

It does get better!

I absolutely have that morning sluggishness.

My best functioning is usually a couple of hours in the late afternoon to early evening.

It sounds as if a lot of people on this forum have taken leaves of absence or quit work.

I'm a student struggling to finish my degree, and I keep telling myself that I can do this despite whatever is wrong with me. I had to face the reality of the situation this semester when I dropped all of my classes.

For now, health is my #1 priority.

Mornings are just so hard for me. I wake up somewhat disoriented, forget to do things like let the dog out. After some coffee I am a bit clearer but still there is terrible fatigue.

The thought of using any energy to take a shower or bath is often very overwhelming. Today is the 5th day that I've stayed in the same P.J.'s and robe without bathing.

By mid-afternoon I need a nap and afterwards I still have the disorientation but slowly it goes away and I have a couple of hours in which I can do a few things around the house.

I see a lot of doctors.....not by choice but some require I come in regularly......and I always ask for an afternoon appt.

I needed an appt. with my dentist after I lost a huge filling in a molar (with mercury dropping into my mouth) and the receptionist said I had to come in on any morning at 7:00 a.m.

I tried to explain to her that I wouldn't be able to get ready for an appt. that early, much less drive to the dentist's office. She got really snippy with me and said she had no appts. that would fit my "schedule."

So now I'm looking for another dentist. I am in pain and think I have a nerve exposed from the broken filling.

This morning fatigue can cause some real hassles!
Anyone have any recommendations or tips to help with this?

Thanks,
Janet

I opened my eyes this morning and said "I feel like I was hit by a truck!" Funny how we use the same terminology [Big Grin]

I had herx when I first started treatment. It came and went over the first few months, but the beginning was the hardest!

I am in between treatment now, so I am sure I will go through it again. Is good to know it passes.

On another note, I just had several fillings, and they were all early morning. Let me tell you, I did not look so pretty walking through their door!

But, it seems your dentist is not working with you, so finding another one would probably be good.

Try some oral numbing meds from the drug store to help get you by. They also sell temporary fillings there.

I hope you BOTH feel better soon!

my herxes were in order of strength decreasing in time::
large train with 50 box cars
large mack truck
suv
vw beetle
wife slapping me.

all you can do is listen to what your body sayss and do it.
if it wants to sleep for 2 days then sleep.
i have been sleeping for 2 hours during the day for 13 years, without knowing why i needed to sleep until 2000.

i used to have to take 2 hour lunches and gooble the food and sleep.

do not force your body, if you do you will pay for it in the back end.

you may force yourself to go out, but be sick for 2 days after.

my wife ,god bless her, still doesn't understand that when i don't want to go out, she should not force me. we have many many fights about this.
i know my bodies limitations, but she doesn't understand even after 7 years of treatment.
