Sorry to hear that you face yet another battle.

I don't know if or how much this group can help you, but they do run interference with insurance companies for patients (for free), and are active nationwide:

Hope they can help in some way. As a heads up, my insurance co's (cigna) tried everything to deny coverage.

Their final attempt to deny was to say that since the problems were in my brain, they must be mental, and therefore i had to go through the mental health side of coverage (which off course, is about 1/10th of what "medical" benefits are).

Cigna (and probably BCBS) farms out most preapproval requests to other companies. i found it worked best to speak directly to that company, since at least they knew what a SPECT was...

please let me know if i can help in any way, including doing any research if you need it.
