I want to thank all of you so very much for your kind responses to my post (Need to Rant).
I see that this is going to be a long process, but it feels so good to find individuals that care.
I say that this is going to be a long process because at the moment, I have been unemployed for 6 weeks --- and have only 15 weeks of UE total to receive!
My workplace was closed due to, uh, "legal issues" (think Enron). Went to work at 8 am on a Monday morning and we were told to pack up and leave by 11 am.
I do not miss the misguided ethics of that job, but I miss teaching.
I did receive COBRA information, but unfortunately the rent and car payments have to come first.
Medically, my present doc does not believe I have Lyme, but insists that it is RA (though I have never tested positive for it) and generalized anxiety disorder (although the one positive test result from 2000 and the picture of the rash is in my medical record).
Anyway, I do want to work and I do want relief from my symptoms at least.

do you have any "rich" relatives that could help you now especially paying for COBRA to the longest time allowed? it's crucial to keep health insurance since lyme costs so much out of pocket anyway.
my best to you, and hope you received all my newbie sheets little while ago.

Please don't let your health insurance lapse. Anything that has been dx before coverage lapses
is considered "pre-existing" and most new policies wont cover them for at least 90 days.
Hang in there. Let go and Let God. Better things are coming your way.
Please find a LLMD soon. I couldn't drive my car for a while prior to starting on antibiotics for Lyme.
Maybe your family or friends would be willing to help pay for car insurance vs. cobra.
